I loved Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood of Make Believe so much… Sure, King Friday was a tyrant and ruled the kingdom of puppets with an iron fist, but I preferred him to that Lady Elaine Fairchilde… Lady Elaine Fairchilde! Always causing trouble in the Neighborhood with her strange head and magic boomerang.

AND this year’s theme is Minneapolis neighborhoods (NOT of Make-Believe).

SO, Tanek, appropriately chose (and got!) the Whittier Neighborhood. Ah, Whittier… home of The Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Eat Street, and the one-legged transsexual in the parking lot of the Nicollet-Franklin Liquor Store. Some inspiration for the Tanek-designed miniature golf hole came from Washburn Fair Oaks Park.
